As a fourth-generation, family-owned business in the agriculture sector, Muirs operates a national network of retail stores supporting the farming community. However, behind the scenes, their IT environment was under significant pressure— outdated infrastructure, serious cybersecurity vulnerabilities, and reactive support put day-to-day operations at risk.

Interlinked took the time to understand the unique challenges of Muirs’ geographically dispersed business. From the outset, the engagement went far beyond just fixing IT issues. From there, Interlinked standardised the entire IT ecosystem. A unified Microsoft Intune environment was deployed across all devices, alongside enterprise tools like LastPass. Core infrastructure — including firewalls, wireless access points, and switches — was modernised, documented, and centrally managed, freeing up staff to focus on supporting their farming customers instead of managing IT issues.

Interlinked also delivered vital communications upgrades. When legacy phone systems failed, new solutions were rolled out rapidly, ensuring stores remained operational with zero downtime.
